Willamette River Public Terrace/Handrails
Project Description
Previously separated by McLoughlin Blvd., a public terrace with handrails was built to reconnect the people of Oregon City to the Willamette River. THBC installed 8,420 square feet of Ipe deck and approx.1,800 lineal feet of custom steel and cable handrails. Width of the deck varied from 0'-0" to 43'-0". Installation of the steel frame package was very challenging because of its technically complex design.
Highlights
An example of quality craftsmanship is evident by the intricate decking cuts around landscape art incorporated into the design. The straight alignment of deck fasteners proves our attention to detail.
